What delays a website launch and how to speed it up
The benchmarks are: a landing page 1–2 weeks, a website 3–4 weeks, a platform from 4 weeks. In practice the timeline often grows not because of complexity but because of pauses. Here is what delays a launch most often.

Materials arrive in pieces
The texts came on Friday, the photos a week later, the logo after that. Each time the work pauses, because it cannot move on without them.
The countdown starts when the prepayment and all materials are in. Collect everything in one package before the start: I described the checklist in the article about the brief.
The layout is approved piece by piece
One section was approved, then another, then we went back to the first. Every new round of edits is one more cycle of work.
Look at the layout as a whole and collect all edits in a single list. That way one or two rounds are enough instead of five.
New wishes along the way
One more page, one more section, suddenly online payment is needed. The scope grows, and the timeline grows with it.
That is why the scope and deadlines are fixed in the contract before the start. New wishes are not forbidden, they are simply discussed separately and get their own deadline.
Questions left unanswered
A question to you sits for several days and the work stands still. In my contract you answer and approve stages within 2 working days, and each day of delay extends the deadline by a day.
If you answer within a day, a landing page can realistically launch even faster than the benchmark.
How to launch fast
Prepare the materials before the start, answer questions within a day, approve the layout in one block and say right away if something is missing. Then the website does not wait for you, and you do not wait for the website.
