Website brief: what to prepare and what to answer before the start

Launch speed also depends on when the materials are ready. Here is a checklist that will cut the number of edits and speed up the work.

Website brief: what to prepare and what to answer before the start

1. About the business

What you do, for whom, which services and prices, how you differ from competitors. A few paragraphs in your own words are enough.

2. Logo, colours and photos

Logo (if you have one), brand colours, photos and videos of your work. Real photos work better than stock ones.

3. Reviews and contacts

Two or three real client reviews, phone, messengers, social media and address. Everything that helps a person believe you and get in touch.

4. Example sites

Show sites you like and ones you do not. This reduces the number of edits at the mock-up stage.

No materials? Not a problem

Tell me about the business in your own words and I'll shape the texts into a logical structure. Photos can be taken from stock for now, until you have your own. I'll send a short brief with questions myself so nothing is forgotten.

Need a website for your business?

Tell me about the task and I'll suggest a solution and name the price.
